VR / AR Product Owner

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced VR / AR Product Owner to join the growing Talespin team.  We are creating a wide range of products in VR and AR, so if you are eager to explore the category from gaming to training and big data visualizations in VR, to machine learning and AR, this is the right fit for you.

As a product owner, YOU are CEO of your product and need to enjoy thinking through what it takes to build a world-class product, communicate that to engineering, and see it through a successful launch. In this position, you will work closely with engineering, business development and executive management to create and communicate product requirements, contribute to the product roadmap, manage the delivery and launch of innovative products to market, and ensure Talespin stays on the cutting edge of these new and fast-growing mediums.


  • You will be responsible to effectively create, communicate, and discuss technical requirements with engineers and partners, but also clearly translate complex specifications to business owners and product pitches.
  • Keep the company up to date on development platform releases, opportunities to partner with other innovative teams, and competitive developments
  • Write use cases, functional specifications, and product collateral
  • Work with UX/UI designers to develop workflow diagrams, storyboards, and wireframes
  • Closely follow technology trends and their impact on the product roadmap


  • Minimum of a Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a pure product management or related project management role
  • Experience and familiarity with video game development and game engine platforms space (Unity, Unreal, etc..) and/or CGI development tools
  • Experience working within an agile development environment
  • Knowledge / Understanding of Machine Learning and Computer Vision trends
  • Self-starter with high levels of initiative, commitment and energy who can galvanize the team to follow.
  • VR hardware or software development experience
  • Web and mobile app development experience
  • Experience in start-up or high-growth enterprises
  • Ultimately, be great at identifying at understanding what and how to build things people need to change their life or their business, even if they don’t know it yet.
